She was my first love. We were lovers and best friends, it was amazing. We had our moments where there were spats and petty arguments, but we always got over them pretty quickly. About 6 months in we hit a rocky patch where we were constantly fighting and holding grudges longer than we were in spending time together so we called everything to a halt and "took a break" but after being apart for a week and a bit got back together. Things, although still great, were never the same. Our relationship lacked the passion and we were fading to bare friendship. By the end of our 7th month I tried to cling to the scraps of our relationship but she was slipping away and i was constantly having to call, txt and arrange when and where i'd see her. It got to the point where i knew she'd lost interest in me completely and i had nothing i could hold on to. After one of our last "arranged" dates i moved in to kiss her hello and she leaned away. I confronted her about her feelings and she turned around and said that she wanted our "infatuation" to slip into a comfy, close friendship. I agreed, i couldn't force her to feel differently about me. We avoided each other for a week when she started txting me again. I asked how she was, if she was seeing anyone and i got a few stinted replies our conversation dwindled and died. She then txted me a few hours later asking how i'd feel if she was to start seeing someone; i tried to stay nonchalant and told her it was her choice and to do what made her happy and, stupidly, asked if i'd know the person. She replied with one of our mutual acquaintance, of which, i felt a bit put out knowing a few trashy, sleazy stories about him but left it up to her. She then pushed the matter, asking how i'd take it if they were officially dating and i repeated my "whatever makes you happy" but then it struck me and i asked her how long they'd been dating. She replied that she'd hooked up with them days after we'd officially broken up. I was heartbroken. She continued to text me, then kept calling but i couldn't bring myself to answer. It's been a two years and i still refuse to fall into any relationships due to the scars shes inflicted. How long did her relationship with the sleaze last? 4 weeks.

R and I met in college. He was two years younger than me. At first I thought he was a little too immature for my taste, but I decided to give him a try.
We dated for the past six months. He knew I was possessive and jealous, and he SAID he understood. He knew I was insecure. He SAID he understood. He never once complained. He never once told me anything about what he didn't like about me. I've always told him to open up to me, to tell me anything that was bothering him. But everytime I tried to open the lines of communication, he either joked about it or said everything's fine.
I was very happy with him. He truly loved me, and he taught he how to love. I was a little afraid of love, but he took my hand and together we took that leap of faith. I loved him. I loved him with all my heart.
A few weeks ago, things started to go downhill. WAY downhill. We started fighting a lot. And he didn't have the patience that he used to have with me anymore. We had this huge fight, and ever since then things were never the same again. After that fight, everytime I looked at him, I saw the emptiness in his eyes. He started distancing himself from me. When we went on dates, there were more awkward silences. I tried to pretend like nothing happened, but how long can I continue pretending?
Finally, I told him to make a decision. Either make an effort, or call it quits. He decided to take the easy way out. He dumped me. He said he didn't have any feelings for me anymore, and that he wasn't happy with me anymore.
I begged him to take me back. I begged him to give me more time. He refused.
How could anyone who LOVED me as much as he did suddenly lose all feelings for me in a mere matter of weeks? When I told my friends about the breakup, nobody believed it. Everybody said, 'That's impossible! He's so in love with you!'
But I guess his love was ephemeral. If he truly loved me, wouldn't he have tried to save the relationship?
In the beginning, when I was having doubts with the relationship, he always tried to convince me that love will conquer all. I guess that was all BS.

When I was a Junior in college, I thought like couldn't get better! I was studying to be a volcanologist in Colorado, I worked part time as a tour guide in the fossils department in the local museum and volunteered at the public library. I was so happy. Then I met HIM. I was salting the side walks of the library in the middle of winter when a man wearing all black walked up to the library doors. All of sudden, he slipped on a thin, sheet of ice, falling flat on his bottom. I hurried over to help him up and I swear, the moment I looked into his eyes, I fell hard. Now I'm not the one to believe in love at first sight, but this man was an exception. He was at the library to meet his girlfriend. Yup, a bit of a dissapointment... But to my surprise, they broke up that day in the library. Since then, he would visit the library whenever I was there and we became close friends. So like fell into love and we were almost inseperable. We dated for about two years. We went through everything together. He was the lead singer in a band and I fulfilled my dream of being able to work with volcanoes. Yeah, I left some to go to different countries, but we were head over heels in love. Then one day, I came back from a trip and caught him in front of MY apartment making out with some redhead. I was FURIOUS! He tried talking to me and telling what all I'VE done wrong. He even said that I DON'T CRY. I said "Oh yeah? Well, boo fucking hoo, jerk." And pushed him out the door.

Things had been going rough for a while and I could tell we weren't going to last long. I guess she felt the best way to break up with me would be to send her best friend to my house. Lucky me, getting to answer the door with a video camera in my face and her friend saying, "She wants to break up with you." But I guess I got the last laugh. Now, two years and ten different sex buddies later, she's known as that girl with the huge vagina.

I was dating this girl who was pretty cute, and after a couple dates we were at her place making out on the floor , (no furniture) as she sitting on my waist she leans over and says, "there's something i have to tell you, I have herpes." this is after she told me that she had a metal plate in her head from the surgery where they took out a good chunk of her frontal lobe because she partied so hard for two years, taking so much e and everything else she killed a part of her brain. I couldn't run out of there fast enough.

I once broke up with a girl the day before Valentine's Day and promised myself I wouldn't do it again. Two years later I broke up with a girl the day of Valentine's Day. At the time it was no big deal but after reading a bunch of stories on here I realized I had a pretty surreal experience.
